in 2012 I started a company named Downtown Heroes. I created the branding, logo, and original artwork to be printed on the shirts. It became a design studio where we branched out into clothing design and video production.

The logo needed to reflect the vibrancy and the majesty of Downtown San Francisco where the company was founded.

I took design cues from the American flag, comic books, and medieval crests were used as inspiration. The logo needed to be customizable for projects in other cities and color schemes.

I wanted to create something easily recognizable while still being able to play with certain design elements.

Here's an example of a variation to the original logo made for a Halloween AD Campaign.

These two banners were used to represent the brand at trade shows and industry events.

We wanted something eye catching, bold and modern.

I used photoshop to manipulate the images of the models to create more interest to the banner and show off some of the gear.

The business cards borrowed some design elements from the banners to create a unified visual when handed out at events.

On this project I handled the Art Direction, Photography, and Photo editing. This photo was used as an asset for an instagram campaign for the "Don't Sleep on Us" Hoody.

"Don't Sleep on Us"

I needed an aggressive image represented San Francisco. On this project it was really fun crafting the image with the negative space and contrast.

"Sly Fox"

This was a character inspired by some of the mischievous characters from the old school Looney Tunes and MGM Cartoons.

"Vandal Squad"

This design was created for the fans of Downtown Heroes "Writing on the wall" Youtube series. The series documented San Francisco street art and graffiti. The beanie doubled as a Ski Mask and definitely played into the superhero misfit motif of the brand.

Custom artwork and clothing designs for limited releases online.

We also produced original YouTube content with custom graphics and advertisements included in the videos.

Custom illustrations used to promote the brand through social media and limited edition prints.

The goal was to create a series of iconic images of different celebrities.

I sketched it out on paper, then edited the image in photoshop.

I later went into Illustrator to add the finishing touches.
